Finalist Selection Progress Update

| | Comments (5)

We're making steady process in selecting the field of finalists, but we can alway use more help!

If you're interested send us an e-mail of leave a comment indicating your interest and we'll get you details on pitching in.

Note: We're under tight deadlines, so unless you can devote time to this over the weekend don't bother volunteering.

I wish I could be helping, Kevin, but I'm too busy keeping my kids busy. I very much appreciate the blogs being evaluated on the basis of quality as well as popularity and votes.

That makes a big difference because "best" is not always indicated by popularity and votes... Certainly true every election year.

When will the finalists be announced? Right now I am suffering from extreme nervous nausea and diahrrea attacks waiting in anticipation for the announcement. My laundry might not last until the announcement of the finalists.

I'm waiting anxiously for the finalists to be announced as well; after all, I have some promised pimping to do once they're announced.

I just found out that you can embed polls from the weblog awards on a homepage. Cool. Supporting us won’t get you a damn tote bag, but you will get regular beer blogging again. And we both know that you can’t get that on NPR." - Balloon Juice

"So I haven't been actively promoting my Weblog Award nomination. Sure, I mentioned it, and I put up a little button, but I haven't told you to vote, have I? I haven't told you to vote once every twenty-four hours, have I? I haven't told you to rise up, my minions, and smite the Internet with your collective force, have I? Have I? Well, now I have." - Looky, Daddy!
