Nominations Open Wednesday
We're running a few days behind the original schedule, but nominations for The 2007 Weblog Awards will open on Wednesday evening (U.S. Eastern time) October 3, 2007. Check the main page for nominations posts for all the categories.
Read the Nominations FAQ and grab some logo link codes while you wait. Start passing the word around about the opening date for nominations.
We're adding an extra wrinkle this year during nominations. Instead of adding "me too" nominations you're encouraged to "vote up" your favorite nominees. It's not a vote like the ones made for finalists, it's just a way to make your collective voices known to the finalist selection panel. The "recommend this" votes won't be tabulated and have no official standing in the selection process - they're just another piece of information the panel will consider. That disclaimer aside, strong support for nominees may, in some cases, be an important piece of information for the panels consideration.
If you'd like to volunteer your services as a member of the finalist selection panel send a message to panel - at - weblogawards.org (using proper e-mail address syntax) and you'll be forwarded information about signing up.

One more day? I can't wait. CANNNNNN'T WAIT!!! Okay, since I've have been hovering over my keyboard since December, I guess I can wait just ONE more day.
CANNNNNN'T WAAIITTTT!!!!
